WillowMay Farm offers full service boarding, training and clinics. Horses are cared by the full time staffs that live next door. WillowMay Farm has the facility with fully trained horses and personals to provide horseback riding lessons for beginners to advance riders seeking either enjoyment from recreational riding or a goal to competing at both rated and un-rated shows.
WillowMay farm mission is to operate and create a safe, open and friendly environment where the welfare of the horse and rider is of the prime importance. We provide an honest and affordable equestrian facility for all that focuses on the welfare and success of the horse and the rider from the start to higher level. WillowMay farm has created a relaxed, warm and comfortable atmosphere for students and boarders yet encourage them to take a serious interest in Pony club and its activities. In the pursuit to foster an interest in the sport of eventing, also obtaining advance knowledge and skills. WillowMayfarm Farm requests that lesson clients participate in USPC, USDF, USEA, BHS and Schooling shows that the farm attends.
WillowMay farm has provided learning and caring attributes and facilitated the students and boarders for 15 years in Newtown Square area under the accomplished leadership of Julie Fitzpatrick (The owner). Julie has been involved with horses for as long as she can remember (her mother was an avid horsewoman). Julie has owned competed and ridden horses all of her life, She has competed in a variety of disciplines, including ODE, hunter trials, dressage, show jumping, & county shows. She has gained considerable knowledge along the way, although she admits that after years with horses you can still learn something new every day. She enjoys the learning process herself and she is always exploring different methods of training including her recent course of HSH with Fritz Stahlecker method from Germany. Recently continuing her education with the TRT method by Tristan. Taking clinics/training session with, Kevin Babbington, Richard Maxwell, Shane Ledyard & Laurie Joliffe. Julie has built her business based on hard work, honesty, respect, and communication. She values teamwork, sportsmanship, and responsibility in her students & staff, a combination. Julie feels creates not only self-esteem and builds confidence, but lifelong sense of accomplishment. Julie continues to ride, take lessons and attend shows. It's important for instructors/trainers to keep their skills current and to continue to improve as well! You never know everything, and there is always room for improvement. She is a member of the USEA, USEF, USDF, USHJA and the BHS
