  SPRINGBREAK DAY CAMP APRIL 18 THRU 22 - 2011

Wondering what to do with the children springbreak. Here is your answer send them for a fun filled week at WillowMay Farm.

Here at WillowMay Farm the camping program is in its nineth year. In addition to our popular summer weekly camps, we are very pleased to offer school break camps, winter holiday camps.

We look forward to teaching your child the wonderful world of horses. It is our priority to offer a safe, friendly, & fun experience for your child while giving them knowledge and confidence to ride horses. We help make dreams come true

  • Introduction to Horses
    Learn about living in a herd of horses! Campers find out about responsibilities of horse ownership,Safety around horses careers associated with horses.
  • Daily Horse Care
    Campers gain hands-on experience with horses by participating in the day-to-day activities of a working horse farm. Campers assist with grooming, bathing, feeding, and cleaning horses.
  • Horses in History and Culture
    Campers learn true examples of famous horses in history, as well as hearing some of the rich tradition of tall tales and legends.Different colors, markings, breeds of horses C
  • Equine Tack and Equipment
    Each part of the saddle and bridle plays a key role in the comfort and safety of horse and rider. Campers help with saddling and bridling a horse, and learn about proper preparations for horseback riding.
  • Horseback Riding
    Campers ride on horseback every day. New riders develop their skills with mounting, dismounting, starting, walking, turning, and stopping. Advanced riders are challenged with new riding activities and skill tests. Indoor arena-daily riding rain or shine
  • Arts and Crafts

Wednesday is T-shirt day, so please send your child with a plain white T-shirt. Horse shoe painting camps also includes many different equine arts, crafts, songs, or games. and other crafts.

WillowMay farm will be offering a series of day camp session this year on a first come first served basis. Your deposit will be due at time of registration. Payment in full due by April 1st 2011

 

Each session will cost $300 per week incl a $100 per week non-refundable deposit.

Camp hours:

9.30am until 3.00pm, Monday thru Thursday

Friday 9am until Noon

 

 Please note:-

We thrive to make the camp week full of imaginative play, nicely schooled horses with two legged friends as well as four. We hope that this will be a week to remember for your child. Camp hours are from 9.30am until 3.00pm & 9am until noon on a Friday. Please ensure that your child comes prepared with a packed lunch, bring a large bottle of water and sunscreen with tick repellent. Children are required to wear long pants for riding they may bring shorts to participate in non-riding activities. There is a soda/water machine for an .85 cent fee.
